Re-(III) Throughout NYC (2010) 

Concept and Choreography: Shen Wei

Sites: Times Square, Wall Street, Union Square, 42nd st. subway station, outside of New York Public Library, outside of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Columbia University, and Battery Park

Shen Wei collaborated with the Times Square Alliance for 3 free public performances of his Re-(III) —reconfigured for the street. Staged in Duffy, the dance was projected (in real-time) on a jumbo screen in Times Square. The Company also gave free shows of Re-(III) at 8 public sites in the city including the 42nd Street  subway station, Grand Central Station, Union Square, Bowling Green Park and Battery Park. A video that merges footage shot at each site, by N9 Productions, recreates the "street" dance into its own complementary artwork.
