“While creating Still Moving for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I became intrigued by the dialogue between the dancer and the sculptures in the museum courtyard. Shifting away from more familiar choreographic territory, for Re-Turn I envisioned a movement vocabulary inspired by energy transference, where there was  a symbiotic process between the living self and 'living art.' I sought to conjure a dialogue between artist and artwork amidst the gallery’s industrial milieu.”
