25th Anniversary Tour of Shen Wei’s Internationally Acclaimed Signature Works

Produced by the HAOSI International Group and the Poly Grand Theatre Management Group the 25th Anniversary Tour of Shen Wei’s Internationally Acclaimed Signature Works Tour featured Folding (1999), Near the Terrace (2001) and Shen Wei’s film Inner Shadow of Movement (2016). Together these three works created a beautiful evening that was extremely important in shifting the cultural narrative around modern dance in China. While these works were first performed 25 years ago, they are still relevant today and this tour has shown us the importance of continuing to share this artwork with the world. Over the seven weeks of tour we created connections between many people from different cultures (China, United States and France). Through these performances many different cultures came together and found ways of working with one another that changed each of us.
